Max & River are sire and dam to our current litter of puppies. They are not only companion animals but also a treasured part of the family.

Our passion for these smart and goofy bundles-of-joy began many years ago in Florida when we adopted our first golden pups  (Rigs & Elle) and in no time at all, we fell in love with the breed. 

In 2020, we relocated to a large, sprawling piece of property in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains where our Goldens are free to run, explore and chase chickens til their heart's content. In July 2023,  River delivered her first litter of ten happy, healthy pups. Seven boys and three girls.

River is one of the most attentive, nurturing and gentle dams I've ever seen and Max is, well, Max. He's curious about the new arrivals but still way more concerned with extracting hugs, love and attention from his humans. He's the smartest, gentlest and most cuddly Golden I've ever raised. An absolute love-bug that requires 100% of the attention 100% of the time.

Willow's Golden Retrievers is a family-owned and operated provider of ethically bred Golden Retriever puppies. 

Over the years, we've had the pleasure of parenting lots of kooky and loveable Goldens, each with their own distinctive personality. In the mid 2010s,  we were in the market for a new pup, however, finding a Golden that met our standard was extremely difficult. Although the market was flooded with Goldens, it took us almost six months of searching and waiting to obtain a quality, ethically bred Golden Retriever pup with the physical and behavioral attributes we desired. At that point, we made a decision to start researching the science and biology of selective breeding...the rest is history!

We take great pride in the propagation and  refinement of this breed and invest a vast amount of time, resources and love to ensure that you go home with the healthiest, most robust puppy possible. We want to ensure your new family member will provide years of joy and companionship.

Our standards for health, temperament, and conformation are exceptionally high. Our boy Maximus and his dam, River, both far exceed all expectations.

We're always in it!

Max and River are both pampered, indoor dogs that rule the roost. When puppies are on the way, we have a dedicated welping area designed to provide momma with a quiet, comfortable and relaxed environment during delivery. After delivery, we -camp out- with momma and her pups throughout the first week to ensure their health and safety. Pups are monitored via cam when we are away for more than an hour or so.
